STEM

We are thrilled to have two winners of the ORISE Student STEM Competition at BGS! Students had to respond to this challenge:

Have you ever wondered about the mechanics behind a STEM phenomenon?  Now is your chance to dive into your curiosity because ORISE wants you to get creative and find the facts! We are asking that you create a video that showcases your journey as a “Fact Finder” in the world of STEM. In the video, you will identify something in a STEM field that you would like to understand, then show us what you learned!

Congratulations to 7th grader Gabbi Johnson for her project investigating why dairy cows produce more milk than other cows, and to 8th grader Tyler White for his project on the science behind why chopping onions makes people cry. Each student won an iPad mini, Apple Pencil, and Sphero Bolt robot!
