STEM contest winners

7th and 8th grade students in Bulls Gap School's STEM classes entered the November competition from the Oak Ridge Institute for Science and Education. Students had to research a STEM discovery or invention and create a movie poster demonstrating what the world would look like without it. The competition was open to any middle school students in the country, and three winners were selected. We are proud to announce that all three winners came from Bulls Gap School! Congratulations to 7th grader Nevaeh Thomas, who focused on water filters, 7th grader Kyli Taylor, who researched vulcanized rubber, and 8th grader Hayden Good, who learned about solar panels. Each student will receive a price package from ORISE consisting of an iPad Mini, Apple Pencil, and Sphero Bolt robot.
